O-Flight:

Orientation rides, commonly referred to as “O”
rides, have always been a popular activity for the Rhode Island
Wing. These are introductory flights into the fundamentals
of Civil Air Patrol and of flying. They give the cadets a
first hand opportunity to interact with the flying basics
and the foundation of CAP. “O” rides are utilized
by all cadets including those who wish to obtain their own
pilot’s licence. Those who select to attend the “o”
rides reflect on them as a positive experience in their Civil
Air Patrol career. The flights incorporate yet another great
aspect of CAP and they are a great way for senior members
and cadets to interact.
